Sir Paul McCartney stated that he "denies" the death of his former Beatles bandmate, and admitted to crying over the senseless murder of his friend.
During an interview on CBS Sunday Morning, the 78-year-old hitmaker of "Live And Let Die" candidly confessed that he doesn't think he has "dealt with it very well."

Moderator Seth Doane, discussing John Lennon's murder, asked, "I wonder how you've managed all these years?"
"I'm not sure, I have managed it," Sir Paul admitted, adding, "It's very difficult for me, and sometimes I'm thinking, 'I don't know why I'm still alive when I still cry? It's so bad!"
"On the question of whether we would still be together... I don't know," the singer pondered.
"We were friends. That was one of the great things. You know, I don't know how I would've dealt with [John's murder] because I don't think I've dealt with it very well."
"You know, in my way... I wouldn't be surprised if a psychiatrist would sort of find out that I'm kind of denying it," Sir Paul confessed.
Paul recently described his late friend and co-founder of The Beatles as the "best collaborator in the world" and said that the anniversary of his 80th birthday was "bittersweet."
In an interview with Uncut magazine, he said, "I'm working on a song at the moment that I'm not too keen on the lyrics of."
"That would be the point where me and John would go, 'You know what, let's have a cup of tea and try and sort this out."
Sir Paul also revealed that he mentally "consults" Lennon while working on new material.
Their partnership is still regarded as one of the most successful in history, and together they transformed The Beatles into the best-selling band of all time, releasing 11 albums between 1963 and 1970.
On Tuesday, Sir Paul, who is one of the most recognizable faces in the world, admitted that he is currently enjoying a bit of anonymity due to the mandatory face masks required in public places.
The Beatles singer said he likes the masks because he can "go anywhere and do anything" without being recognized by people, revealing this during an appearance on The Howard Stern Show.
