Many TV shows from the 90s became cult. Many years later, people still remember, for example, the television series Beverly Hills, 90210. Moreover, fans of Hollywood movies are interested to know what their favorite characters look like now and what has happened to the actors over the years.
Here's how the star of the Buffy the Vampire Slayer series lives now. Or rather, the actress Sarah Michelle Gellar, who played the main role.
The youth series about the fate of an American girl with superhuman powers made Sarah extremely popular.
Initially, she was supposed to play a completely different character - the actress came to the casting for the role of Cordelia (the main character's school friend), but she couldn't get it.
Instead, it was in her that the producers saw the main character, Buffy Summers. That's how her truly remarkable career began - after this project, Sarah Michelle Gellar became known all over the world.
In the second half of the '90s, the actress appeared on the big screen quite often, mostly in films addressed to the same audience as Buffy (I Know What You Did Last Summer, Scream 2, etc.).
However, her biggest success was her role as Catherine Martel in "Cruel Games," which won her an MTV Movie Award. Interestingly, Gellar even interrupted her participation in the series for this film, but later returned to filming.
Now the American actress is 45 years old. She is married and has two children, a daughter and a son. She met her future husband back in 1996 while filming the horror movie I Know What You Did Last Summer. However, they started dating much later and got married only in 2002.
In 2011, the actress returned to television with the series "Doppelganger," in which she was also a producer, but the show was cancelled after one season due to low ratings. Therefore, Buffy the Vampire Slayer became the most important film in Gellar's life.
