If your jeans are not too dirty, you can "refresh" them between washes using the following techniques:
Clean them with baking soda, salt, ammonia, hydrogen peroxide, or vinegar.
As reported: Fakta.today
Do not use water. This is called "dry brushing." Clean with an alcohol swab or vacuum.
Remove stains and localized dirt with a soap solution, baking soda, or dish soap.
Apply one of these with a soft sponge, scrub, and rinse with warm water.
Ventilating the odors built into the fabric can help eliminate them.
Freezing is an effective treatment for bacteria causing odor. Place your jeans in a tight bag, first turn them inside out, and then put them in the freezer for at least 12 hours.
The best way to wash jeans is by hand.
Completely soak the jeans in diluted detergent (water temperature max. 30 °C) and let them soak for an hour.
Then, without applying too much pressure, stretch your hands over the most problematic areas: seams, pockets, knees, and waist.
Rinse under running water. Squeeze lightly and be careful not to twist them. Let them dry.
Machine washing:
Follow the instructions on the label.
Empty pockets and close all zippers.
Do not mix with other items. Pay particular attention to the fabric composition and colors of these other items.
Do not load more than 3 or 4 pairs at a time.
Wash on a gentle cycle, if there is no special cycle for jeans, at 30-40 °C. A suitable cycle is "cotton."
Jeans do not need to be washed on wool or synthetic cycles.
Set the spin speed to a minimum.
Use the rinse cycle several times to avoid white spots from the detergent on the jeans. Even better, use gel detergent.
Do not use a dryer.
