Thin pita bread is a perfect base for making a great snack for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

You can even make chips out of it.

But it tastes best when you wrap something else in the pita and lightly grill it on a grill or griddle.

Even ordinary cheese and mushrooms will taste better.

Chef Hector Jimenez-Bravo, a judge on the show MasterChef, recommends making pita with meat filling.

It takes less than a minute and the result will surprise you.

Lavash with meat

Ingredients:

Round lavash - 1 pc;

Filling - 150 grams;

Sour cream or unsweetened (Greek) yogurt - 50 grams;

Pickles - 20 grams;

Tomatoes - 20 grams;

Red onion - 10 grams;

Paprika, black pepper, salt, green onion, cilantro;

Take any ground meat you like, but remember that if you use only pork ground meat, the dish will be slightly fattier than you expect.

So, season the ground meat with salt, pepper, paprika, and mix well.

Spread the filling in a thin layer on the pita and place it on the pan with the meat side down.

Fry in a pan until ready.

Remove from the pan, place slices of tomatoes, diced red onion, and cilantro on the meat, fold in half, and enjoy.

This dish is ideal with a simple unsweetened yogurt sauce.

Just add finely chopped pickles and green onions to it.
