"Putin and his people were kind to me. It's 66 square meters, three rooms, a kitchen, a bathroom.
The furniture was dark Russian style, with aluminum wallpaper and a beige carpet typical of the former East Germany," the carpenter recalled.
Hofmann gets annoyed when he sees tourist buses outside his windows.
"He believes there is a Putin museum here. I don't let anyone in. Navalny came before Christmas, stood outside the windows with personal guards, but I didn't let him in," said the resident of Dresden.
The new owner of the apartment is Joerg Hofmann.
