Although Lilah and Ollie Ward, aged 29 and 30, had no experience in construction or design, they started planning the build in September 2019.

"We love the simple way of life, and it's easy to keep it clean."

The tiny house is made of cedar wood and a steel frame, while the interior boasts a modern design.

As you step inside, you are greeted by a spacious open living area connected to the dining room and kitchen, which is equipped with ample storage, space for a refrigerator, dishwasher, and oven.

At the back, there is a bathroom and laundry area with a washing machine, shower, toilet, and a beautiful concrete sink.

"Our trailer is unique because we can leave it stationary and, if needed, remove the wheels when we don't have to transport the entire house," said Lilah.

Although the COVID-19 pandemic delayed their construction plans by a few months, their small "dream" home was completed in just six months.

The couple had a reasonable budget of $80,000, which they adhered to, but they decided to invest in decoration during the finishing process, such as expensive artworks and surface finishes.

Assistance during the construction process is expected to have significantly reduced costs, and their family has also lent a helping hand.

The pair currently plans to live in the small luxury home for another year or two, after which their goal is to build a second, larger tiny house.

The couple's best advice for others looking to build a tiny home is to "do your research."

"There are so many blogs and videos now that can help you," they said.
