Law enforcement authorities have launched an investigation and opened a criminal case against the musician.
This is reported by DW.
The initiation of the investigation against the lead singer of the internationally renowned band was announced by Felor Badenberg, the Berlin senator for justice.
Lindemann is accused of violating Section 177 of the German Criminal Code, which pertains to sexual violence and rape.
Several women have accused the singer of sexual violence and abuse of power.
It is reported that during concerts, Rammstein representatives allegedly selected young women and asked them if they wanted to attend parties after the performances.
The invited individuals claim that sexual acts under the influence of drugs occurred repeatedly at these parties.
In early June, a statement was posted on the band's Instagram page addressing their fans:
"The accusations have hit us hard, and we take them very seriously. To our fans, we want to say: It is important to us that you feel comfortable and safe at our shows—onstage and offstage," the statement read.
Till Lindemann vehemently denies the allegations against him. His lawyers have announced that a lawsuit will be filed in response to all the accusations of sexual harassment brought against the Rammstein vocalist.
