They met on Facebook, met several times in his home country and got married there, but the pandemic brought its restrictions.

The couple haven't seen each other for several months and are fighting for the right to meet again, as the young husband is not granted a visa.

Iris shared the story of their relationship on their wedding anniversary, which she had to celebrate separately from her husband.

The pensioner revealed that their passionate romance began in 2019 after her children bought her a laptop and signed her up for social media.

Jones met Mohammed in an atheist group and began corresponding with the young man.

"Initially, his intellect attracted me, but when he sent me several pictures, I liked his appearance.

The age difference was obvious, there was no talk of romance, but subtle feelings had settled in my soul. By the way, Mohammed was married at the time.

He had been married for ten years and only divorced last year. So, at first, we just talked, and then we fell in love," Iris revealed.

The first meeting of the lovers took place a few weeks after they met, when Jones took her wedding dress and flew to the young man.

Mohammed then rented an apartment for himself and Iris, where the couple lived for several months.

Since the man was not yet divorced and Jones did not apply for the necessary documents at the foreign ministry, the partners did not marry. But during their next visit, the Egyptian and the Briton formed the bond of marriage.

"My sons didn't know I got married until they read about it on the internet. I knew they would try to convince me, say that Mohammed was a fraud and that he married me for money. But I know he didn't.

My husband and I have everything from love! He didn't ask for gifts and didn't hint at any money. We got married and sat together at KFC," Iris shared details about her personal life.

The quarantine forced the pensioner to return to the UK, and now she is busy trying to bring her husband over.

The case of family visas will be considered in early November. Mohammed has already passed the English language test, but for now, everything depends on the fact that the older woman cannot fully financially secure her young husband.

"I don't know what I'll do if I don't see my beloved as soon as possible. I don't want to live in Egypt.

It's too hot there, and there's no proper medicine. But if necessary, I'll move there. Nothing will separate me and Mohamed," Jones declares.
