Jam Donuts:
Ingredients
500g wheat flour
200ml milk
5g dry yeast
100g sugar
10g vanilla sugar
200g jam
20g powdered sugar
50ml sunflower oil
Preparation:
Add yeast and 1 tablespoon of sugar into warm milk, stir well, and let it rest for 10–15 minutes.
Mix the yeast mixture, flour, egg, oil, remaining sugar, and vanilla sugar until you have a smooth and elastic dough.
Cover the dough with a towel and let it rest for 1 hour.
You can use any pitted jam for filling.
Roll out the dough on a floured surface to a thickness of 1.5-2 cm. Use a glass to cut out circles and put a spoonful of jam on one half. Cover with the remaining circles and press the edges well.
Cover the baking sheet with parchment paper and place the donuts 2 cm apart. Let them rise for 20 minutes.
Bake in a preheated oven at 180 °C for 25–30 minutes. Sprinkle with powdered sugar if desired.
