They opened Christmas presents together.

In 2004, R.C. and Sherron sold their herd of 52 buffalo and later replaced them with a single calf that they decided to raise in their home.

Now they celebrate Christmas with him every year, and despite his colossal size, he has never damaged any interior items.

R.C. said, "Wild Thing really enjoys joining us for Christmas - he is very sociable because we act as his herd."

"I always have a gift for him to play with, and this year I might give him a trash can."

"He even enjoys dressing up, and this year I bought him a wreath that hangs on one of his horns."

Wild Thing even has his own room, where he can watch movies and have breakfast at the kitchen table.

R.C. added, "He has a barn where he can roam, but he likes to watch TV. Being inside the house is his favorite thing."

"But despite his size, he has never broken any of our Christmas decorations."

R.C. said, "It took us ten years before my wife felt safe enough to bathe him, and it's not safe for other people to get too close to him."

"He only charged at me last year and a few years ago when something scared him, and my wife thought I was dead."

"But we wouldn't have it any other way. He's our pet, and we love him."
