Academician Amosov:
Don't rely on medicine. It "treats" many diseases, but it cannot make a person healthy. Nor can it teach a person how to become healthy.

Furthermore, beware of falling into the captivity of doctors!
Sometimes they tend to exaggerate a person's weakness and the power of their own science, creating imaginary illnesses in people.
To be healthy, you need your own effort, constantly and significantly. Nothing can replace it. A human being is so perfect that health can be restored from almost any point of decline.
With age and the deepening of diseases, only the necessary effort increases.
The magnitude of any effort is determined by the stimulus, the stimulus being the significance of the goal, the time, and the likelihood of its achievement. And it is a pity, but also the nature of things!
Health becomes, unfortunately, an important goal as death approaches. However, even death cannot scare a weak person for long.
Four conditions are equally important for health: physical activity, dietary restrictions, hardening, and rest.
And yet - a happy life! Unfortunately, without the first conditions, health is definitely not guaranteed. But if you don't have luck in life, where will you find the motivation to take care of your health?
Nature is merciful: just 20–30 minutes of physical exercise every day, but the kind that raises the pulse. If this time is doubled, it will be much better.
You need to have restrictions in your diet. Choose: constantly have a mild feeling of hunger or eat as much as you want and then fast several times a year.
The ability to relax is a science, but it also requires character. If there is any!
They say that health is happiness in itself. That is not true: it is so easy to get used to being healthy and stop paying attention to it. However, it helps to achieve happiness in family and work. It helps, but does not determine.
It is true that illness is definitely a misfortune. If it is severe. And if it is mild, some even enjoy it: they can rest and everyone pities them.
So, is it worth fighting for health?
One more small addition, especially for the young. Of course, you are healthy, and it is too early to think about future illnesses. But... time passes quickly.
You will celebrate your thirtieth birthday and the first decade will begin when you will have to think about the future... Besides, unfortunately! - not everyone has good health now.
Often, frightened young men and women come to me, already clutching their left chest, complaining of palpitations. Fortunately, most of them have no other illness than a lack of movement.
I look at the EKG of one such young man: he should be running every day or at least dancing, but he sits with books and never lets go of his cigarette. And now he already sleeps with pills.
Remember: movement, green food, hardening, and time for sleep are truly essential. You can trust me.
