You will need:
A metal lid from a jar
Sunflower oil (preferably refined)
Cotton pads
Instructions:
Pour a small amount of sunflower oil into the lid. The chemist noted that refined sunflower oil works best for making the candle.
Shape a cotton pad into a wick resembling a mushroom cap.
Submerge the prepared wick into the oil and let it soak thoroughly.
Bring a flame close to the homemade candle and hold it for a moment, as the cotton pad wick has a slightly lower ignition coefficient.
