And sometimes, even our beloved pets become amazing doctors who can not only heal, but even save lives.

Such was the case with a North Carolina man's cat named Glen Shelman.

As reported:fakta.today

Glen's introduction to the cat happened long ago, in those distant times when the man didn't have any significant health problems.

He visited a shelter, where one of the kittens exhibited an astonishing attachment and pressure towards him. That led to Glen being unable to resist and taking the kitten home with him.

Little did he know that the cat would become his guardian angel... Glen Shelman and his pet lived in perfect harmony for a long time, enjoying a carefree, peaceful life.

But, of course, nothing lasts forever, and one day something bad happened. The man fell ill, and medications couldn't fully help anymore, with no chance for complete recovery.

The worst part of his illness is the sudden seizures that can occur anytime during the day or night.

Glen Shelman says that when they start, he loses the will to live and doesn't want anything at all.

That's where the cat demonstrates its amazing abilities. Firstly, it often predicts the onset of a seizure - it becomes anxious, walking alongside him. This gives the man some time to prepare.

Secondly, and most importantly, when the seizures begin, the cat bites its owner. According to Glen, such aggression quickly brings him back to his senses, and he starts fighting for his life.

This is especially useful during the night when the body is relaxed, and a sudden seizure doesn't allow time for preparation.

Glen Shelman is extremely grateful for adopting that little black kitten from the shelter.

He took care of it for many years and loved it. Now it's the cat's turn to take care of its owner, which it does very, very successfully.
